Short Term Lets Licensing Statistics Scotland to 31 December 2023

This publication presents data on all validated applications as at end of December 2023, and does not cover all applications received. This means the statistics in this publication are provisional and subject to upward revision in future releases. However, it does present a picture of the compliant part of the short term lets industry. The report shows that there were “at least 23,576” licence applications as at the end of December 2023. Of those that had been “validated” (a bit over half the total) 79% were secondary lets.
