Scottish Housing Regulator: New Regulatory Framework
In June 2023 the Scottish Housing Regulator launched a discussion paper in which they invited stakeholders to give their views on the emerging thinking on potential changes to the regulation of social landlords in Scotland. The regulator consulted formally on the proposed new Regulatory Framework in October 2023.
The Framework sets out how they regulate both Registered Social Landlords (RSLs) and the housing and homelessness services provided by local authorities. It will go live from 1 April 2024.
